    I found this web site quite by accident & am not sure how it works…But I did take a look at your recipes & do not mind telling you I can’t wait to try some of them out!!! I will definatley put this in my “favorites” so that I can come back & check for more of your recipes!!! And hopefully I can figure out how to check to see if you “replied” to this OR is this just fro “leaving” messages??

    What a terrific web site! I literally stumbled on it (using stumbleupon.com), and I am equally impressed with your photography as your recipes! I can’t wait to try a few. The Greek bruschetta caught my eye – when I was in Santorini 4 yrs ago, my friend and I stayed at a little hotel/B&B that had the MOST INCREDIBLE bruschetta that they served with breakfast – I’ve never had anything like it. Your blog and photos reminded me of this and I think I’ll try to recreate.

    Hi Nicole,

    I’m going to make your spinach & feta turnovers for a Thanksgiving appetizer (so I’ll cut them in half as you recommend) and I wanted to first make sure that I can prepare them the night before and bake them at the party destination. Will they hold up overnight in my fridge?

    Also, I think I’m going to try making another phyllo triangle, with brie and carmelized onions. Do you have any thoughts on this? I was just thinking I’d cut brie into bite-sized wedges and top with carmelized onions, then fold ’em up (and store overnight like the spinach triangles of course).

    Please let me know if you forsee any problems with the overnight storage situation, or if the brie/onion triangles are lacking anything that you think would be an imrovement.

    How do you find the online Masters Program? I tried it through Devry and although I did well, I felt the need to change course and try another school. My masters will be in business and maybe it’s a little different because it relies on work experience heavily. any thoughts?

    Nicole – this is going to be one of my all-time favorite blogs to visit! Not only are your recipes interesting and tasty sounding, you put them into the art category with your great photos!

    Here’s a quick and simple recipe that is easily modified to suit any taste….

    2 cans mandarin orange slices, drained
    1 large can fruit cocktail,
    1 jar marachino cherries, drained
    1 pt container sour cream
    1 pkg mini marshmallows

    mix together in a serving dish and chill.

    I like to make this with the tropical fruit instead of “regular” fruit cocktail and I also add chopped nuts, and top with coconut. My sister makes it with vanilla yoghurt instead of sour cream and we’ve decided you can make it with cream cheese thinned with a little milk if you wish. I know you’ll come up with a zillion more ideas!

Due to my life being so busy because of being involved in various art projects in the UK, the food side of things has been left behind; even though I’m not a bad cook.

    I was looking for a blood orange cheesecake recipe and stumbled across your blog. Great site and great place to live. My former husband (we are still friends) is from the East coast of Sicily and I visited twice..loved it! My sister-in-law still lives there. My mother-in-law taught me how to make so many things homemade, sadly, she passed away last year before she could see the start of my home baking company.

    My daughter suggested your website and I think that your pictures of Modica are very unique. I’ve benn living in Sicily for…..years and if you are interested in writing a Sicilian cookbook maybe I can help you out. Being of Sicilian descent I still have many reciepes my grandmother used to cook, e.g. Easter cookies, a wine pudding made from fresh pressed grapes and many other goodies…..One of my hobbies is collecting cookbooks and cooking when I’m not dieting………….Reading Sicilian recipes from an all-American point of view could be quite interesting.
